Sweet condiment, often spread on bread.
About
Honey (I prefer raw) and shaved truffle.
Uses
Pairs well in savoury applications. I love it on cheese, blue, brie, camembert or fetta with biscuits, a robust bread or toast. Use in sauces and marinades where the truffle offers an earthy note and umami flavour.
Substitute
Honey without truffle. It will have a different flavour.
Availability
Farm Gate or online. They are also available at gourmet grocers, but make sure they only contain truffles and do not contain truffle flavour, aroma, or essence (refer to Truffle Mustard).
