Description
Large oval-shaped potato with white to yellow skin and pale-yellow flesh.

Origins
First created in the Netherlands in 1986. The grower was fond of a pizzeria called Fontana, but because the name Fontana was not approved, they changed one letter to create Fontane.
Uses
Generally used for French fries or chips but is also suitable for mash.
I Have Used
I have used it for baked potato and multi-potato scalloped potato as the base and topping for mashed potato puffs.
