Description
Oval-shaped tuber, white-skinned with white flesh.
Origins
I will provide more information on this variety once it is available. When I first received these from my supplier, I wondered if the name was a gimmick, as I could not find any information on them.
Uses
Mash, roast or fry. When roasted, they turn a golden colour with a crunchy exterior. They also lend themselves to a fluffy mash.
I Have Used
I have made an Irish Champ Mash (mashed potato with chopped spring onions) and plain mash, which I used as the mash in the potato puffs.
